Rain drawings are made using charcoal or graphite powder to ‘expose’ marks on paper left by raindrops. Sometimes I leave the drawings as they are. Sometimes I work into them, building on shapes or forms that are suggested by these random marks. This is the process of ‘Pareidolia’, used for example in in making the drawing 'Edge' (see below).
